As Basava Samithi is a Charitable Organization, The purpose of the organization is mainly to propagate the principles of Basaveshwara and other Sharanas, which aim at bringing an egalitarian society, based on spirituality without discriminating religion, caste and creed.

One of the aims and objectives of Basava Samithi as laid down in its Memorandum of Association and rules there under is to fund, support and maintain hospitals and health centers for the benefit of poor common people.
